I bought this from Drose on UU Marketplace, the photos & video are over there:

It's funny, I like bling, and this is the plainest looking uke. The wood is not highly figured, the satin finish makes it very under-stated. What sold me on it was the sound on the video (nice playing, Drose) especially that ringing final note.

It sounds so good, even with me playing. I knew that good instruments are a world apart from entry level ones, that a well made uke would sound good. I honestly didn't realise what a difference it could make to the playing of a newbie like me.

I can never go back to lower instruments - except perhaps a novelty soprano pineapple for silliness.

Congrats! I agree that as a noob, it's nice to play a very nice uke, it makes the journey so much more enjoyable! Have fun with it!

hearty congratz Katz. could well be the only Kanilea in Tassie! :shaka:

Congratulations! I'm glad you like the uke. Looking forward to hearing some videos from you. :D

Very kewl! Congratulations...

Plain?! Look at that fancy bridge! And those fret markers the size of half-dollars!

Seriously, congrats on the new pony in the stable.
