Eleuke Help

I bought an Eleuke on a whim and have two questions. First, I read it had to be tuned to A# D# G C instead of the normal G C E A tuning for a better sound and I wanted to know if that's true or not. The reason I ask and haven't tried it out myself is because I broke a string already! So can someone point me in the right direction for the kind of strings I should buy for this (most important). And if you have an answer for my first question that would be great too.
