Thought I'd share. These are from an old (60's) Sweet Adelines barbershop book.

Hope this comes out right. The preview pic looks weird.

Thanks, Freeda!

I actually own the original sheet music for that song, with Arthur Godfrey on the cover of the sheet. I love that song.

For those interested, here's Greg Hawkes of The Cars doing a lovely rendition of it:

Very cool. Any chance of you posting the uke version of the music? I'm not sure seeing the barbershop layout would help anyone to play it.

That's a tabbing challenge if ever I saw one. However, it is way beyond my capabilities.

Well the nice part about 4 part harmony is that you have all 4 notes of the chord spelled out!

If we're making love ukulele style, I would like to observe that the smallest size is called "standard."

For those who can't read music, I came up with a chord song sheet (http://sanjoseukeclub.org/Song%20Book/Making%20Love%20Ukulele%20Style.pdf) for our club i the key of G. The three forward slashes indicate where I do a triple strum.

As for the fancy strums that Godfrey played, I simplified them somewhat by adding an easy vamp, then playing the Dmaj in various positions up the neck, etc.
