Now a second draft.
The silver tongue The hangman hung The spinner spun The deed is done
The blue moon The piper’s tune The Viking’s rune Gone too soon
The crack is glued The horse reshoed The gun re-blued The sights re-trued
Nothin’s gained we win the battle not the war
The fight is fought Solution sought But all for nought ‘cause nothing’s taught
Nothin’s gained Should never have gone here from the start.
The Ferryman’s fee Housemaid’s knee The Holy See And all for me
Banker’s greed The bear is treed The sower’s seed It’s all agreed
The bone is chewed Wasted days rued The punter screwed The hero booed
