I was on Wikipedia for 'research' purposes, and found this pic. Please identify uke!

It is hard to tell; but looks like a Lanikai to me. I'm as big a fan of Lanikais as anyone (I own two) but if I was a celebrity and getting my picture taken I would want to be holding a $1,000 uke.

Thought I'd post the pic for you:

Oh. Right. Gottcha.

I've been a fan of Miss Deschanel's ukulele endeavors for a while now. A friend's young daughter just took up the ukulele thanks to Zooey's influence.

And as an aside, It's nice to see her playing a ukulele that's not a muckety-muck high-end something or other. We can't all drive Lamborghini's.

That is in fact a lanikai. I have seen her play a vintage martin s-o and a mya moe however. To me it looks like she is about to sign this one.

She's awesome and I'm more than a little envious of this ukulele.

Why don't they make these anymore?

A Kiwaya K-Wave in Telecaster style..

Yes, I want want one of thoooose!

The Kiwaya K-Waves are no longer in production, and it is somewhat rare to see a second-hand one for sale.

However, I will direct you to two alternatives which may float your boat:

Unfortunately.. a bit expensive.

On the other end of the spectrum, it's far too cheap:

(and not particularly good quality)

Thanks for the links.
The earnest are nice, though don't have the money. Plus, I think I'm monogamous with ukuleles... But who knows
