Hey everyone,

After I bought my uke I wanted to try and use a pick from my previous guitar use, so I picked up some felt ones. Unfortunately, they were just to firm for me. They made too much of a rough sound for my taste, so I decided to make my own. I took two pieces of adhesive felt, ripped the adhesive back off of them, then sowed them together. I personally love the sound they make, I think it is a really smooth sound. Anyone else ever try this?

Here is a song I recorded using the felt pick:

I bought a Pick Punch and it's a great tool. You can make picks out of a wide variety of materials to suit your own style. I recommend you get a sanding block with it to smooth the edges of the newly punched picks - at least the plastic ones.
