I don't have much experience with the soprano size, but I have the KA-MT, the tenor version and I love it! It's all laminate, but to me it sounds beautiful. It's very warm and the Aquila's give it that brigthness that balances out the tone. I even have the Pono MT and it sounds and plays just as beautiful.....different, but it has a voice of it's own, and it's loud! For me, it's a nice subtle contrast between the Pono Magohany and the Kala Mango. I have it strung low G and it sounds nice. Had it professionally set up and the luthier even liked it's tone.
