New (pineapple) uke day!

My new Kamoa E3 Pineapple! This is actually the first pineapple I've owned and I couldn't be happier with it. Sweet sound on this little beauty and a really comfortable feel. Bought it from Uke Republic and I must say that the set up is perfect!

I love mine. It's my go-to soprano. A friend recently bought one after playing mine. I did notice on both her's and your's that they came with geared tuners where mine, which was bought nearly 2 years ago came with friction tuners.
Are geared tuners now standard with the friction being a special order option?

I think that the friction tuners are standard. When I ordered, I selected this color w/ friction. Mike e-mailed me and said that they were out of friction and asked if geared would be ok. I honestly have no preference on geared or friction so I told him to go for it.
