I'm curious if y'all know of any instruments with a 16" scale length. This would be between the standard concert and tenor scales. So far I have found only three:

1. Jazz Peanut by Dan Ratliff:http://www.ratliffukulele.com/JazzPeanut.html

But I can't find any other reference to Mr. Ratliff

2. Hibiscus Custom by Gerard G.: http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/f...-concert-hibiscus-soundhole-16-quot-scale-uke

3. Devine Super Concert :http://www.devineguitars.com/custom-ukuleles-from-luthier-eric-devine.html

Any others?

Thanks,
Jim

William King Makes a super concert with a 16" scale. But they are a rare breed indeed. I don't think he has made more than a couple. www.chantus.com

The Kamaka Ohta San is pretty close at 15 15/16".

I haven't been able to find an actual scale length measurement, but I believe the Kamoa Grand Concerts are close to that size as well.

The old Lyon & Healy tenors are just under 16" - like the Kamaka Ohta-San. I know a few builders make replicas. Joel Eckhaus (Earnest Instruments) makes them. He refers to them as altos.

Oh...crap...you mean there's an entire "voice" of ukulele I haven't tried yet? Darn...looks like my credit cards are in danger of spontaneous combustion again... :)
