Setup on new Kanile'a Ike

Hi,Forum and Uke newbie here with a newbie question.I just received my new Kanile'a Tenor and the action seems a bit high.However,please bear in mind this is coming from a guitar player with no Uke experience.Do most of you get a setup done or do one yourself on your new ukes as is customarily done with new guitars? I do it myself, mostly with cheap ones. the good ones seem to come set up pretty well.
