Aloha UU,

Check out the back and sides for my new Mike Pereira custom tenor cut from a Walnut tree in Glen Ellen, CA.

I'm going to call this uke The Big Dog!

Glen Ellen set 2 - Hound Dog.jpg

Mike gave me other choices of beautiful Walnut back and sides but this one was just amazing!

That's awesome!

There's also a pretty girl in there but her head will be gone once it is cut to shape ;)

Ask Mike, that song was my first choice too. But then there are these options:

Baha Men – Who Let The Dogs Out (2000)
Bobby Bland – I Wouldn’t Treat A Dog (The Way You Treated Me) (1974)
Led Zeppelin – Black Dog (1972)
Lobo – Me And You And A Dog Named Boo (1971)
Cat Stevens – I Love My Dog (1966)
Rufus Thomas – Somebody Stole My Dog (1964)
Baby Jane & The Rockabyes – How Much Is That Doggie In The Window (1963)
Paul Anka - Puppy Love (1960)

don't forget Cliff Edwards, "My Dog Loves Your Dog" :)

Yo, New, I think I see an image of Jesus in your walnut.

Aloha Fisherman,

Everyone sees something different in an artist's work. Thanks again for inspiring this order with your own Pereira Walnut/Redwood tenor ukulele. And kudos to Ken Middleton for his wonderful Youtube video of this Pereira wood combination:

Love the tone of that uke!
