how do I play a D7sus4 cord?

I second that chordfinder. I use it alot! Just make sure you put the proper tuning in on the right!

Thanks for mentioning selecting the correct tuning, that can be a nightmare if you're not aware of that.

Are these the actual chords or are they just like a replacement/alternative?

Yes, it shows the finger positions for the chords as well as some inversions. If you're in doubt, find a chord chart and make the comparisons.
