The uke called out to me for a long time, and I never answered the call. Until a few weeks ago.
I always knew I was going to play. It was just a question of when I would take the plunge.
I have to say I am really, really enjoying this instrument. It is - amazing. Amazingly beautiful.
Like the banjo, I lived too much of my life with the wrong impression of the instrument.
My banjo prejudice was cured overnight many years ago when I discovered - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. I never looked back.
Haven't had this much fun musically in a long time. And I'm no good. Imagine what it will be like when I can actually play it.
