Hi guys, so I'm interested in buying a tenor ukulele or concert ukulele. I'm leaning towards the tenor now, but I wanted to know what the difference between the Kala KAA-15T and Kala KA-T was. the KAA-15T is significantly cheaper ($70 vs $120)

Also, besides these two uke's, what other tenors or concerts would you recommend at a price below like $120?

The Kala KA series used to be Kala's entry level instruments. The KAA series appears to be fitting in below the KA series as a new entry level instrument although they appear to be getting good reviews. I haven't tried the new KAA series instrument in person.

So would getting the KAA be a good choice? And are there other tenors that you would recommend at a good price?

imho ,they are both entry level ukes, so theres no better choice. so i would go with the cheaper one if it was me, then after you learn to play maybe move up to a mid level or higher end uke when you catch the uke bug.

i believe both is a laminate mahogony. the sound will be both in the same area for an entry level uke but not the same sound. best to try and hear it and see what sound you like. maybe go to a local music store and try them. the thing with these brands is a hit or miss. quality control is the problem. one will sound good and one will have a bad buzzing or other hidden damages. you get what you pay for basically. but for a begginer uke its a great price. good luck
