worth browns with a koa ukulele

Not me. The only ukulele I ever liked the browns on was a Spruce/Maple Pono tenor. I prefer the Worth Clears (hard tension) or Southcoasts on all koa ukes. That said, I'm sure a lot of it depends on the build as much as the wood.

I have them on my Kelii koa concert uke. I really like them.

I am in agreement with Steve. I think the browns are a bit warmer than the clears and can help tone down the brightness of a spruce topped uke, well my spruce topped ukes are pretty bright anyway. I have clears on my koa ukes as well.
 
I have them on my early 70s Kamaka soprano. Really like them.
 
I have them on all my koa ukes (Koaloha and Mele alike). I really like the worth browns.
 
I have used them and liked them on koa ukulele's. Depends really on how bright sounding a koa uke you have to begin with......I have used them to mellow a koa uke slightly.
 
I like this combination very much. You should give it a try.
 
I have my Pete Howlett Tenor strung with Worth Browns
at the moment,and I like the combination.Crisp,yet warm
is how I would describe the sound.........
