All UU peeps that go to this show, please wear your shirts and find one another. I have a feeling it's going to be a good show. I tried to get us (Aldrine) in this year but they told me they were already booked solid. Hopefully next year they can bring us up. Seeing all the shirts walking around might help convince them. ;)

If the tickets are sold out can you still go there and will there still be stuff to see/do?

(sorry, this would be my first time to a uke festival)

Not sure Orange Uke. I know Friday night is free. Here's the website.
www.ukulelefestival.org

Hey, anyone local out there have a laminating machine? It would really be cool if all of us UUers had nametags on lanyards to wear that had our screen names and the UU logo, so we can recognize each other, besides wearing our UU shirts. I would be willing to send the maker of nametags $5 for one. (Over on BuffettNews.com we do that so we can find each other at Jimmy Buffett tailgate parking lot parties.) We could use them at any UU uke get togethers in the future. There are several of you I know I missed saying hello to at UU's gathering at Island Bazaar last July just because I didn't recognize people by their real names.

The tickets are sold out for the Luau and the Saturday night concert. You can still by the $22 ticket at the door for hanging out at the festival, visiting the vendors, participating in the workshops and the live performances all day long. Most of the fun it outside and, of course, watching the performers of your choice.

Cool Ric. I'm going to get there early to get a good seat and set up my camera, so hopefully I can tape your club too.

So my friend and I are working the festival as volunteers. One of her duties assigned to her was to drive to LAX Friday to pick up some people. She just emailed me and asked me if I want to ride with her......she found out who she's picking up....(drum roll, please).......,Herb Ohta and Roy Sakuma!
Hell yes, I wanna ride along! Whooo-Hooo!

I hope I can make it. I'll just be getting back from Frisco. I really wanna see Ke Leo play and I would love to see the giant group of members.
