Hey guys!! Geez... I have so much to say about yesterday and so many people to thank! I am nursing a pretty potent hangover, however, so I will save the posting for tomorrow.

You all are all pricesless, wonderful new friends and super people!! I really feel blessed to know you.

Hangover curing advice is welcomed!

Actually, I probably did more damage than good. I'd forgotten that we did different versions of Shirley T. Next time we'll make sure we get to do a dry run prior to me putting you on the spot like that. It was still a blast though :).

Well, for starters, we had the worst weather we've ever had at one of these SJ Jams. As Dominator said, it was not enough to dampen anyone's spirits!

The Super Crew arrived, as always, early. I was late. The Super Crew consists of Ed, Eric, James, Alex and just a whole bunch of folks and family they always bring!

It seems as though we all might have found our assigned seats because we almost always sit in the same exact places at the Poor House. So funny! Now I know where to look when I'm trying to find one particular person.

The first Jam in October, we were all so nervous, never having met each other in person before. We had awkward conversation and strange getting to know you play alongs. Now we're like old friends that have known each other forever.

This time, we just hung out for the first hour or two, and it was a small group that we really enjoyed. But we wished and waited for the rest to show up!

We started at noon with major casual hanging out. When everyone was ansy enough, James started us off with a rendition of "Show Them to Me", a beautiful ballad about boobs. (bewbies). Hilarious, and so well timed. Then our favorite regular crew (Ed, Eric, Alex, and James) played some fabulous stuff! More action came around two-ish when Dominator and his wife arrived. And at the same time we had Rodney and his students show up. After Kenny and I (Kenny=www.basement3.com) played a few non-uke songs, Russ graced the stage and rocked out!!!! He played Counting Crow's "Round Here" amongst others and was amazing considering he was bundled up like a snowman! :) But Russ always rocks. A super treat!!!

Then we called up Rodney and his young and not-so-young Uke students....

Rodney had a few small fries playing and a couple of adults. It was freaking amazing!!! All of our jaws hit the floor when the very-bored-looking kids played like nobody's business! We were all floored! Video to follow shortly.

Enter: Dominator and Young. They gave us all an exhilarating version of Jake's "Gently Weeps". And then worked out some other amazing stuff, that only video can explain.

About this time, I get fuzzy... Blame it on the GIANT beers.

One huge highlight was Russ and Dominator's version of Led Zepplin's Rainsong. BLEW EVERYONE'S MINDS!!!

All in all, a f-ing awesome day. The rain had no fighting chance against us.

Thanks to all for such fabulous memories, pics, and videos!

I'd love to give the detailed play-by-play, but until I watch the video in it's entirety, I just can't remember every single awesome thing that happened. I was super busy, trying to keep everything together, and making sure I drank my share of beers....

So, please, add your memories and thoughts, and pics and vids! I'm working on some video uploads now.

The next one we do will be......... not sure. But it is most definitely in the works. And Eric, Ed, Alex, and James have promised me that we can do some videos together soon.

So stay tuned.... we ain't done here!!!!

xoxo
