Here's another exotic combo recently completed for the same client that ordered the Babinga Tenor.

Back and Sides - Tiger Myrtle
Top - 3000 year old Sitka Spruce
Neck - Spanish Cedar with CF truss rod
Fret board - Honduran Rosewood with 12" radius
Bridge - Honduran Rosewood
Bindings - Cocobolo
Rosette - Spalted Mango
Purflings - Black / Red / Black
Tuners - Peghed 4:1
Strings - South Coast Ukes
Finish - Gloss lacquer over epoxy pore fill

Beautiful work, Allen. I'm curious about the spruce. What is its origin and how did you go about dating it?

Spruce came from Alaska and was radio carbon dated.

These are real works of art. Your pieces look like they come out of the Craftsman period, Frank Lloyd Wright, Green and Green. The only thing they are missing is a little copper and some stained glass. Beautiful.

Wow. What a blessing that this wood ended up in the hands of such a skilled builder.
