I, Water

I carry ships
I shape the land
I crack and turn
The rocks to sand

I fill the sea
I block the sun
Within me
Dwell leviathan

I roll down cheeks
To show child's pain
I am raging storm
And gentle rain

I reveal the colours
In sun's light
I paint the tops
Of mountains white

I quench thirst
Feed giant trees
I cradle souls
Who sleep in me

I gouge the earth
With glacier’s tongue
I once was pure
But look what you’ve done

Good job, pabrizzer....here's my attempt to add a verse... (use or lose)

I feed the ground
When the rain pours down
Feed the crops
And the mountain tops

I cleanse the soul
By a country stream
As I gaze upon
And dare to dream
