Pono MT

Just received a new pono mt from hms. Beautiful uke and loving every minute. Question is can I polish the satin finish to a low gloss? I imagine that finishes has been discussed on here before but could not find any. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Congrats on the new Pono. I personally like the satin finish, so I would say give it a bit of playing time before you think of doing anything to it.

Keep looking for threads about polish satin to gloss. If the on-forum search option doesn't turn anything up for you, try a google advanced search and limit the search results to this forum. Voila, "custom" UU search engine. I know for a fact that there's a couple older threads where some Kala solid acacias got polished to a low gloss and they turned out surprising well actually. I think they used 3m finesse-it or something like that. Can't remember exactly.
