Merry Christmas everyone!

It's Christmas here already in England and Santa Claus was very kind. My family were nice enough to get me a Kamaka HF-3 uke!

It's got the following specification:

4A Curly koa wood
Ebony fingerboard and bridge
Mother of pearl fingerboard dots

It hasn't been finished being built yet and won't be ready till after Christmas, I can't wait! As soon as I get it I'll post up some photos.

Happy Christmas!

I consider myself very lucky! It involved a lot of sneaking and apparently my girlfriend had checked my computer to see which kind I wanted. Bluesdrive I'll have to check out that song :D

I gave my cousin a makala soprano that she liked very much... She began strumming "over the rainbow" right away!

where was my uke i ask?

If had waited for Anders to figure out what uke I wanted, I'd still be waiting, but he was supportive, and I must say he's become a fan of Mike's work. That little MP Concert rocks!

The Makala is an awesome starter uke choice. I gifted the concert version myself, and if it's not wanted, I'll have it!

That would be the opposite of Deaching though.
