Good program for video recording

hi, i have a hp desktop and i want to record with it using my webcam is there any good program out there for windows that you use or would recommend?

I only recently got a Logitech C920 and haven't even figured out the software it came with yet, so I can't really recommend anything.

Windows Movie Maker is standard (or at least it was back in the days of XP) and will let you do a few basic things with video editing.

Maybe start with what you've already got and it might help you figure out what features you'd like in something more advanced. For me, I figure I gotta crawl before I can walk, and then I gotta walk before I can run.

HP has the Cyberlink Youcam software on select models only...
