Strings keep going out of tune

I got a new uke and it's going out of tune like mad, I'm having to retune it three or four times a day (though I am playing for about six hours a day)... I've only had it for three days so I'm wondering is this normal for a new ukulele? If not, what might it be?

That's normal. I've put on a set of classical strings on my new uke a week ago and I still have to tune it every couple of songs.

Do you have geared or friction tuners?
If its friction you might try tightening the screw on the tuning button a bit.

thats what i would do if it keeps coming out of tune. just in case.

If you're playing 6 hours and only have to tune it 3 or 4 times I'd say the tuning's pretty stable. It depends on your tolerance of out of tunenness I guess but I don't think I've ever played for 2 hours without having to tweak the tuning a bit.
