So I've been playing for about a year and a half. I play casually, not everyday...but lately I've been really getting more into it. Right now, I pretty much have a toy. It's a $40 LeoLani black laquered Soprano Uke. It's tinny and horrible to tune. I need something better. I'm looking for a reliable half-way-decent sounding concert uke preferably under $90. Have one? Find one? Let me know of one? Please?

i played a samick uk-60 for a while.
you can usually find it for under $70
it's a (maple?) laminate with geared tuners. not bad sounding for a cheap uke.
spend an extra $10 on some good strings and you'll have a very playable little concert uke for pretty cheap.

In this price section Ukes from 'Hawaiian Ukulele Company' can be recommended.
They are pretty affordable for beginners. But I do not know, if you can order one online. Because their online store is crap:

I own a soprano, but I bought it locally. I think you get a concert for about 70-80 bucks.

You'll get much more for your money if you can find something secondhand. Obviously local is better but there's always the market place here or eBay if you're careful.
