Rollin' Wheels Ancient Land - Pa original.
Very long to go with all the places and the pictures from the trip around Australia my brother and I made in 2009.

Dm.......................F
Wheels are rolling ‘cross an ancient land
C..................................Dm
Murrumbidgee fireside and the Coffin Bay sand
Dm............................F
Murray mouth then the Nullabor Plain
C..................................................Dm
90 miles dead straight crossed no creeks or drains

Heard the whales groan at the head of the bight
From unbroken cliffs – what a sight
Feelin’ sleepy can you drive a while?
Wheels keep turnin’ mile after mile

Bb.............F........C..........Dm
Keep on burnin that diesel fuel
Bb................F................A7
Dual cab ute workin like a mule
Bb..............F..........C..........Dm
Headin’ west into the setting star
C....................................Dm
A loaded truck and two grandpas

Indian ocean ferry to Rottnest
The kauri forest of the south west
Climbed the steel spikes of the Glouchester tree
The pristine beaches of Albany

Headed north up the desert coast
Petrified forest stone pillars and posts
Fed the wild dolphins at Shark Bay
Cranking up miles day after day

Keep on burnin’ that diesel fuel
Dual cab ute workin’ like a mule
Headin’ north towards hills of red
Canvas tent and a stretcher bed

Crystal clear waters of Ningaloo
Barnhill Station then off to Broome
A meal on the beach on the falling tide
Beautiful sunset camel train ride

Windjana gorge full of crocodiles
Tunnel Creek corrugations for miles
Bungle Bungles - mountains domed
So bloody hot ready for home

Katherine springs then southward go
Carnarvan Gorge caverns echo
By home we’ve done 18000 kays
We’ll keep our memories all our days

Normally, watching a slide show of someone else's vacation can make one's hair hurt. When yours ended, however, I was hoping it would go on on lot longer. Looks like you and your brother (Bro Pa?) had a very special experience. What great places you went to. Your song will keep the memories alive for others in your family for a very long time.

Would you mind posting your chord progression? I agree with Fred, I liked your slide show. I probably will never make it to Australia and seeing your photos took me there. Thanks!

pabrizzar...thanks for the look into your world!

he he he My world is suburbia and work - but it was good to leave it for a while.
Will be doing it again if I make it to retirement.

And of course that trip didn't include the beautiful states of Victoria and Tasmania.

Always used to watch his weekly series.
That beat up hat is the same as my recently purchased one worn in my Tennesse Blues bonus this season.
Called an Akubra Sombrero.
It will take 20 or 30 years for mine to look like his.

Fantastic song Brian, awesome video. Well done mate, what a tribute that is.
