Back in December, my husband put down a deposit for a custom Oceana ukulele for me, which started in April. A couple of days ago Zac sent me these progress pictures of my super soprano. I am thrilled with the results so far.

I had the fortune to play 4 Oceana ukes at the Denver Uke Fest last year. They were excellent in tone and craftsmanship. Looking forward to seeing this come together.
Congrats.

I've admired these ukes for awhile too tigersis. Nearly grabbed one last year. This looks like a beaut. Is it koa with a cedar top?

Congrats.

Thank you. I got to play some at Uketoberfest last fall, and fell in love with how they sound.

It's claro walnut with a western red cedar top.

Me too. Super nice guy also.

Yes, Zac is a super nice guy. He is very enthusiastic about what he does and it's been a fun process to work with him in picking out the details. The only problem has been he has so many great ideas, it was hard not ordering three different ukes.

I am sure you will be very happy with your Oceana. I have had my cedar/mango concert since November. The build quality and tone are truly exceptional.

Cool! Do you have a picture? I'd love to see it. Welcome to UU BTW!

Thanks, Daniel, I'm sure I will, too.

heelnip, it's beautiful! The light colored cedar and the mango really compliment each other well.

+1 been looking at Oceana for a while now. Lovely woods and apparently excellent construction. Yes, please post some sound samples when you can!
