Fellow Eugene Ukulele fans, I have been given the extreme honor of illustrating a couple of CD covers for our favorite Tasmanian. I don't think he will mind that I bring it up in advance.

What if we make it a bit of a class project? I can post ideas and prelims as I come up with them and get feedback from other fans. Sound like fun?

Can you include something that's a bit of a nod to Cliff Edwards? Not anything literal, necessarily, and certainly not that cricket (because You-Know-Who would come after you). Just something that acknowledges him, as Eugene is his spiritual grandson.
 
That's a great idea. I'll think it over. For starters, here's a two minute sketch I did on an index card. An idea for "Strawberries For My Sweetheart".

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time. So excited for this to be finished though for Jon himself and for all of us, his adoring fans! :)
