Will new strings cause discoloration of finger tip? Supposed to have Titanium DaDario Titanium strings on this uke.

Never encountered that. T2s are just a denser nylon string with a purple hue. I don't think you'll have any type of chemical reaction when in contact with your fingernail.

I get a black line on the nail of my strumming finger. String brand doesn't seem to matter. Nailtiques prevents it for me. YMMV.

Someone has a wound "C" string on it. Think it is coming from silver colored C.

If you've got any kind of metal wrapping around any (or all) of your strings, it's from the acids in your fingers reacting with those metals. It could happen with regular strings too, but normally shows up more with metals. Easiest way to fix that? Find a set of strings that you like that it doesn't happen with, and stick to those.
