Hi UU-ers!

I'll be in HK next week and would love to meet up!

Was also wondering if anyone has any experience with SIA allowing ukes as a personal item on the carry on in addition to a rucksack?

I know that Jenny(coolcow) lives in Hong Kong. Maybe send her a PM.:)

I brought an alto sax with me to Thailand once for a band performance. We were using SIA (can't remember why)... They allowed my backpack + sax. I put the case under my seat. I think you can call the office to ask though.

Welcome to Hong Kong! :D

BTW, Jake has a show on 30th June here.

I work for SIA. I don't think the airline is very strict with ukes as long as you can store it in the overhead bin but the Hong Kong airport security is very strict with anything that doesn't fit into the standard luggage dimensions, even to airline crew. So you might want to consider that.
