I see them on ebay somewhat regularly, on Elderly once in a while. Boatpaddle does a concert "mandolin" that can be set up as a taropatch, and a few builders that post on UU that can make you one. A taropatch is concert size. You rarely see 8 string tenors referred to as taropatches.

I've never seen an 8 string concert, will likely be a custom.

Yeah, I tried to talk Ohana into making one, but not a big enough market I guess.

Great news for you. Ohana has made an 8-string tenor using all-solid spruce with mahogany. It's now available at Mim's.

You could just get a Martin taropatch. They were all concert size. In fact, that's where I believe Martin got the body from.

Check out this thread

David Newton makes them and is a member here. A further UUer is Ukulian (new to me) who makes them too. You are spoilt for choice. Or as soybean says keep your eyes peeled for a vintage Martin offering.

Still under the impression that a taropatch = concert size, that's why 8 string tenors are rarely referred to as taropatches

All the taropatches you've seen were concert size
