Rosette change, post op

So I have a Port Orford Cedar top with a nice Paua ring in it. However, a customer likes the wooden rope look. (It is the only POC I bought with me to Australia from the US.)

Time to get picking that pesky endangered shell out....

The rope purfling had a black on its outside which I scraped away making it a nice fit to the cavity, with some utilitarian persuasion.

Nice job getting the abalone out.

I would worry less about picking that abalone and more about picking that nose!
