Hey Folks- Up for sale, a Gibson UB-1 banjo uke from the 1920's, fully restored by Aaron Keim of Mya-Moe.

It is fully restored, with new head, nut, strings and bridge. Also, it has a mix of new and old hooks and nuts but has the original No-Knot tailpiece and tuners.

This model has a soprano scale and a 6 inch head. Quite small but still playable. It has a bright and poppy sound but doesn't sound cheap like other banjo ukes. It nails the old timey radio broadcast vibe, all the way.

The best part is, it has an amazing hand painted family crest on the back of the resonator. I would guess it was done by an old school sign painter near the time of it's build. It truly is an amazing work of folk art. It looks like it is the Deming Crest, as seen here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Great-Coat-...nealogy-would-look-great-framed-/220999581454

It has a few nicks, scratches and honest play wear. The resonator has some slight warping and was starting to de-laminate. I glued it up and it is solid.

It has low action and is very easy to play with a perfect setup. No buzzes or false notes.

$600 includes shipping in the states. $20 more for over seas.

No case.
