So im curious what everyones go to song is! No matter what time of day or what im doing i always come back to one of the first full songs i learned and still love, I Cant Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis. Actually hearing tyler joseph the singer for twenty on pilots play this is what inspired me to pick up a ukulele. So whats your go to song of choice??

Operator, by Jim Croce.

According to my son - who says I need to memorize something else - it's Zarabanda Francesa #1 by Gaspar Sanz, but I play the hymn arrangement from Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" equally often. I also play "Groovy Kind of Love" by the Mindbenders or "Air that I Breathe" by the Hollies. All of these serve as a test for tuning for me.

because I enjoy the ( C, Cdim, Dm7, G7 ) or the ( G, Gdim, Am7, D7 ) progression of chords so much, I go to "Tip-Toe thru the Tulips" or "A'oia". :)

keep uke'in',

I guess it's a song, "26 Miles (Santa Catalina)" but I just enjoy the chord progression.

C, Am, Dm (should officially be an F) G7. Strum a few then fingerpick a few.

Always sounds nice!

Jesus on the Mainline (as learned from the link below). It works for linear or reentrant tuning and any size of uke. It's just what my hands start playing when i pick up a uke.

My fingers always gravitate into The Beatle's "Here Comes the Sun". It seems to flow with my usually sunny strumming spot in the backyard.

That one song

I always gravitate toward The Beatle's "Till There Was You" (I love the F#m/Fm/Em run). The second go to is The Kingston Trio's "Scotch and Soda".

Dear Prudence seems to be my "Let me check this uke out" song.

I'll add another Beatle's song: "Nowhere Man." Here is a video of the arrangement I play (This is not me in the video).

Sandman or If I Had You. I also often find myself finger picking to Can't Help Falling In Love With You too!

Whatever I'm working on at the moment...

I guess for a "how's this uke sound" thing I'd say most commonly I'll play Hotel California, House of the Rising Sun (in both Am and Dm), and then some pattern picking through a jazz progression or two.

Come to think of it, Hotel California, House of the Rising Sun, and Five Foot Two are about the only actual songs I really know to play from memory even when I've not played them in a long time.

Checking out a uke, first I tune it up, then I play the simple chord progression

F / G7 / C / / /

a few times.

If that sounds sweet, I try out whatever song I've been working on most recently that has some picking or chord melody. If that also sounds sweet, I start to feel a little UAS. Argh.

I usually play whatever song I am obsessing over. Every few weeks my obsession song changes. This week I can't stop playing Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye by the The Casinos.

Still a newbie here. I play an almost chord/melody version of "Ain't She Sweet".

Reggae, one of the styles I love, and I have a natural feel for it. I play Stir It Up or No Woman, No Cry. I also like Hotel California or Neil Young's My My, Hey Hey.
