First non solid body electric build! Because of a looming road trip I threw this together in about 4 days so far. Certainly not perfect(though the thinner bouts was on purpose), but a vast improvement on my first. It's soprano by the way. Also, I call it the peanut!P6280196.jpgP6280191.jpg

If it's not too late, consider thinning down the top and back. The wood looks like hardware store pine, and if so I doubt you'd want to be thicker than 2mm (is that 5/64?) or it will be quiet as a little mouse. From the picture of the tail I'd guess you're currently about twice that, but it should sand pretty easily.

Good luck!

SO, summer and many trips come and go, i finally got back to work on the uke. Thinned the top and back down considerably, started the neck, and worked on the fretboard. I cannibalized the frets off of an old mahalo and the markers are some dowel i had sitting around.0921131817.jpg
