We recorded this for Season of the Ukulele 72.
This is a small but pretty song by Canadian pianist Gonzales. He does a lot of production work for artist like Feist and Jamie Lidell. Besides his electronic pop albums, he has also made two stunningly beautiful Solo Piano albums. Beautiful miniatures with a big nod to Satie.
Gogol is from Solo Piano 1 from 2004.
If you ever get the chance to see him perform his piano work, go for it! He's a big entertainer and his concerts turn into music lessons with members of the public being invited on stage for lessons. One of the best shows we've seen in years!
