Hi everyone. I am new here and wondered if you guys have any advice on my new projects. I want to build two ukes using wood I have for the bodies and adding kit part necks and fretboards etc. First up a Teardrop shaped solid body electric. I have some mahogany planks I can shape and sand and fix the parts to. Any suggestions for affordable electrics?
Second up I have a large stock of sequoia sleepers and was thinking of carving a one piece hollow body from one. The wood is light, has a lovely ringing tone when you tap it and a nice colour. As this wood is unusual in Britain, I wondered if you US guys had any experience with it?

hey buccaneer, welcome!

I think your questions will perhaps be best answered on the Luthier's Lounge board, just moving there now...
