PLUD (Pre-Loved Uke Day)

Picked up this nice Maton Concert a few days ago from a fellow UUer. I've got a bit of a thing for Australian-made. Built Feb 2013, carries a little "strum shine" from the previous owner. No bling, Tassie Blackwood back and sides, Cedar top, Queensland Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, Gotoh tuners. My photo skills are rubbish but in natural light there's a very nice deep orange/red sheen and a very subtle flaming in the blackwood that doesn't come through in my pics. Tone with the cedar top is bright but not shrill and it is surprisingly loud. I think we are going to get on very nicely.

That is beautiful! Congrats on your new-to-you concert. I love cedar. I'd imagine it sounds very sweet with the blackwood.
