The earlier thread today got me thinking.
1. Why no soprano resophonics?
2. Why are they all biscuit bridge (i.e. National type)? Why no spider bridge (i.e. Dobro type)?
(The obvious answer is that the mass market ones are all from the same factory, and the market for them isn't so great as to support diversity. But historically, going back to the '30's, have there been spiders or sopranos? I don't think I've ever seen one. Is there a practical answer from the realm of physics? Or is it just an 80 year oversight?)
