On my just purchased Gold Tone banjolele, the curved tailpiece is at an angle and touching the head covering. Logically I assume it is not supposed to do that and it should be adjusted so it clears the head? Any comments are appreciated,

Bill

I'd take a picture and send to Goldtone. Great folks here in Titusville, fl

I loosened the strings and tightened the tailpiece screw/bolt assembly which partially lifted the tailpiece from contacting the head. My belief is that the top surface of the tailpiece should be parallel with the head surface, my novice observation based on aesthetics, and would like to know if that is true before I do further adjustments. The photo below shows it after adjustment. It is still on a bit of an angle as can be seen.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Goldtone does not have a big admin department. Good people though. Sometimes they are off to instrument shows, etc. I've already sent them a reminder of my "previous" email.
