I just ordered my first Mainland today, a Red Cedar soprano. I have been going back and forth between a Mainland and a Sailor for a couple of weeks now. I finally decided on the Mainland after reading so many positive reviews on this forum and and on Youtube as well. If it sounds and plays half as good as people say, then I am in store for a real treat. I know it comes with Aquila strings, but I prefer fluorocarbon strings on my Ohana. If you all wouldn't mind, please tell me what strings you prefer on your Mainland, and why.

Congratulations! ;)
It is a wonderful ukulele!
I use Aquilla Strings, but only because I've been too lazy to change them out.
After putting Living Water on my Kanile'a, Aquilla just doesn't do it for me anymore :)

I preferred Worth Brown Mediums on mine to temper some of the brightness and give it a a fuller voice.

Thanks, I was actually thinking of trying a set of those. I like Worth clears on the mahogany Ohana.
