Hi. I'm new here with a beginner's question.
I have a few years under my belt playing/learning guitar and I'd like to start learning ukulele. I like the sound of a tenor uke but I'm drawn to the baritone because of my familiarity with D tuning. (I'm already familiar with chords, fingerings, etc. because of my guitar work.)
And I've learned by reading postings on this and other sites that the tenor was traditionally tuned to DGBE, but now the standard is to tune it to GCEA like the soprano and concert. And, of course, most instructional material, including Aldrine's fine lessons, are geared to GCEA.
So, my question is what makes the most sense for a beginning player with some guitar background? Tenor in GCEA, tenor in DGBE, or bariton in DGBE.
