baritone ubass conversion

Hmm, neat idea. If I can't sell my LU-21B as a baritone, maybe I'll get it converted to a bass. :p

I doubt VERY much that the converted instrument for sale would stay together in one piece for long. The biggest string already looks like its about to break the bridge. The UBASS has a MUCH sturdier bridge. The neck is very narrow too for a bass.

Pass.

that's what I thought too.

Looks neck heavy to me and it looks like the top is going to collapse on itself. Yet, I think it could be done if you were to do it as a 3 string bass. Tune it BEA or EAD.

I don't think it will break apart. UBASS strings are very loose. Way looser tension than regular baritone.

However, I would still save up for the real thing made for the purchase.
I might attempt a conversion myself as a project, but not buy one that someone else has done..
