Help finding guitar chord grids like ukulele chord grids

Since there are so many guitar/ukulele players here, I thought I would ask this forum. My friend is learning guitar and likes the way the Daily Ukulele book is set up with the little grids that tell you where to put your fingers. Until she learns the chords by heart, she is looking for a setup like the one in the book. She wants to play songs, not just learn the chords. I have looked all over the net with no luck. All that I can find is just the chords and no diagrams. Can anyone suggest any sites like Dr Uke, Richard G's song book, but for guitar? Thanks so much.

Ultimate guitar.com has chord diagrams as a little pop up when you hover the mouse over the chord.

I agree with your friend's philosophy of learning songs. That's how I learnt uke. You learn the chords you need as you go. It's well worth buying a book of chord diagrams so that if your book doesn't have the chord symbols with the songs, you have the book to refer to.

These days you can find all the chord charts you need online. And any piece with lyrics/chord names you can just draw the chords into the margins.

I have a small self-inking uke one myself (I can only find the plain rubber ones on Amazon). If it were much more expensive it probably wouldn't be worth it, but these cost about the same as a set of strings.

I appreciate that, but there are still advantages to having a book. I have a couple and still find them useful from time to time.
