Or with Alohis? I notice that Collings has switched again - from Worth to Savarez which are now the recommended string on their ukes. I use Worth, Alohis and Aquilas on various tenor ukes which are all quite different. Is anyone familiar with those and also with Savarez who could describe the difference or similarities between them?

I dunno about Savarez on ukes, I love worth browns on most of mine.

But I have been using Savarez on classical guitar for 5 years and don't plan to change anytime soon. They are that good.

Maybe I should try them on the Uke uh?

I use Savarez strings on all my custom ukes ... I tried worth clear, worth brown, koolau, aquila, D'Addario Pro Arte and T2 and I must say that Savarez are the best. They give a nice full and rich tone with nice balance and are smooth enough to be play them with pleasure when you use fingernails.
I started using them few years before they actually made a dedicated ukulele set and I got used to my custom set and still order them that way from stringsbymail.
