For those of you that own a Sopranino, what are you tuning it to? I have mine tuned to D but was thinking of gong back to C.

Reason I went with D was the strings seemed so loose at C. I have a tendency to bend them at C.

Anyone doing a D# or E, Bb or B?

Something looks our of scale when I play it, but the hat makes it all right. Sop.jpg

I tune mine up pretty high, because it sounds good up there with the strings it came with, but C should sound good too with an appropriate gauged string set.

Mine responds to C or D tuning.I usually keep
it in C for simplicity,to play along with other
ukes, but I use D as the mood takes me!

I have several soprano ukes. Most are tuned to C, except for one that I keep tuned to D.

I prefer C tuning, but to be perfectly honest, I struggle with some chords in C that are much simpler to play in D. Normally I will look for a variation of the fingering, drop the chord, or use an alternate chord. When none of that works out, I just use the D uke.

It drives my ukulele group insane because on the rare occasions I use that uke, my music is re-written for GCEA fingering but I'm playing a uke tuned ADF#B.
