Hello,

last week i order a resonator from MyaMoe, in the options they have Window Pane and Tear Drop, for the sound ports, tear drop look better for me, but about the acoustic can anyone tell-me the difference?

thanks!

Ivan

Should be asking Aaron, but my guess is that the total dimensions of the sound ports in the soundboard will be approximately the same, regardless of shape. Of course, maybe my musings are total "bull hockey"

Go with the teardrop since you like the look better. No matter what options you choose, it's still going to be a great sounding Mya-Moe. I've had my Mya-Moe baritone for almost a year and I appreciate it more every day.

Perhaps I'm biased but if I had the choice when I had ordered my MM, I still would have chosen the tear drop design.

I like the teardrop. I haven't heard one of the window pane ones, but I think the teardrop shape is more harmonious looking than the windowpane.

i also like Tear drop, windows looks to big... but... asking Aaron about the sound quality is a good option...

thanks!!!

Ben Bonham- Who is our designer/parts maker/process engineer/fellow musician, swears that the window pane's are louder and brighter. I don't think I really hear a difference, so order what looks best to you!
