Bass Singing

Is it possible to sing bass lead, while playing the ukulele? I am a natural bass singer, so lower notes are more comfortable for me to sing, but the ukulele, even with a low G string, is not a bass instrument, so can I sing bass, while playing the ukulele, and it still sound...right?

Do you know of any bass singers, who sing along with the ukulele?

As long as your in the same key, the instrument doesn't matter.

I am naturally between tenor and bass. For some songs I prefer the higher tones of the ukulele. I guess it depends on the song.
