Finally decided to move to the next step. I got my Kanile'a KT-1 today from HMS. Out of the box it was fantastic. The action is great and the sound is amazing. I'm a happy camper. LOL I guess my Islander is headed for the auction block.

Extremely good looking instrument. Many do not have dramatic grain. Congratulations on getting a sweet, gorgeous one.

Congratulations on the wonderful ukulele. While I'm not most comfortable with Kanile'a necks (which feel a little wide to me), Kanile'as are beautiful, well-crafted instruments that sound wonderful and are made by great people, and yours is a beauty.
