reso banjolele back 002.jpg

Hi,
I am new to the forum, and glad to have found this community. I have always been involved with guitars and banjos, but as of lately have come into a Banjolele. I found this locally and could not resist picking it up. It just needs some minor repair like a new head, resonator blocks, couple new frets and a set up.
I have scoured the web trying to identify it, as there are no indications or brandings anywhere of who made it. It does have an Elton Tailpiece. The Gumby style headstock lead me to believe that it may be a Richter, U-King or Maxitone. Although, there are inconsistencies such as the ornate decoration on the resonator back, as well as the MOT/pearloid headstock and fret board.

I would appreciate any information someone might have.

Thank you for your time and energy,

No idea either - but yeah that's a cool detail on the back... Maybe Jake from Antebellum Instruments will get on here and let you know

Sorry I can't help you, but I totally dig the design on the back!
