Has anyone "bit the bullet" on one of the concert-sized Lanikais currently offered @ Butler Music? I'm interested in the quilted ash, spruce top model (either regular or w/preamp for a few more $). I'm looking for a more guitar-like sound (already have a solid mango concert, strung high-G) in a concert, since I can't play a tenor (hands too small-yes, I've been trying and just can't deal with the stretch), and thought this might be suitable for a low-G tuning. Any word on sound quality? Is the preamp worth getting? (I do play with a group; so far we've just been miked w/no plug-ins).
